funtobe made it out of upstate NY. and he is in good old Germany- where one is aloud to play without vibrato and still exist.( because germany is good) Being a crusader for Baroque music in the states is not much fun. if the dialogs where intelligent ones than it might have been fun- but so much ignorance and ego take over the limited brain space .
in the land of the brave where who you are is more important than what you are a funtobe has no chance of making any difference what so ever.  when someone has something against Baroque playing one of the first questions usually is- why do we try to imitate what they did in the old days? since im a jewish funtobe i always answer this with a question- why do we try to copy “authentic” performances form the 1950’s instead of having our own way?
but in our grim modern society there is no such thing as “our own way”. we flock like blind sheep that are about to be slaughtered and become a Mc’royal burger!
thinking about it- wouldn’t it be great if Mcdonald’s burgers where made out of Lamb?

It seems that upstate new york is more desolate than the Kalahari desert in Africa…  One week in the modern world without mobile phone service or internet connection is a very hard task for a modern funtobe!  Hah!  Not only were the tools of communication not intact, but the only means of transportation was two pair of legs and kindness of strangers!  Hahhh!

As you all know very well, the funtobe hates more than anything (because we hate more than anything!) to be dependent upon other humans (because a funtobe is human!).  So it was a hard time indeed… A question might be asked…What the fuck the funtobe was looking for in upstate new york?!?!  The answer. , my friends, is very noble indeed.  We are here on a crusade to defend the “authenticity” of Baroque Playing!  We go proudly against the old testament “thy shall not play without vibrato” “thy shall make everything sound exactly the same” “thy shall try to play as loud as possible” “thy shall always SING” and so on and so forth…  Has funtobe succeeded?!  THat I shall let you know if I ever get out of here…
